Psychotherapy is the assessment and treatment of cognitive, emotional or behavioural disturbances which affect the body’s systems for processing stress and emotions through the central nervous system. The aim of psychotherapy is to assist the client in resolving underlying issues through therapeutic techniques and through the therapeutic relationship that is formed between the psychotherapist and the client. This treatment encourages learning and implementing healthy cognitive and behavioural patterns for the overall well-being of the client. Trauma and experiences stored on a mental (and cellular) level effect the overall health and well-being of the body, as mental and physical symptoms relate to each other. Psychotherapy considers overall patterns, chronic issues, and recurrent feelings of the client. The following is a sample of issues treated with psychotherapy by solution-focused and cognitive behavioural therapies:

At Denise Semple and Associates Healthcare Clinic we offer Psychotherapy Treatment Services as well as Massage Therapy and Physiotherapy to help aid one in gaining a full level of health. When it comes to overall health and well-being, the psychological state of the client greatly affects the physical responses of the body’s central nervous system. Psychotherapy assists in balancing the client’s state of mind and behaviour through comprehensive psychological steps. Treatment in this sense helps encourage healing and release. Often, symptoms that effect the personal well-being of a client can be rooted in the mind, which in turn effects the physical response systems of the body. Cellular memory impacts treatment of the physical vessel as the body remembers previous trauma or experiences. Treatment of root causes leads to greater overall health and well-being. Judy, is a registered practitioner who is able to assess for all cognitive and mental behaviors, treatments, concerns and issues.
