Yoga combines physical postures with breath-work to help increase overall body awareness, strength, rest, and balance. Each pose is held for several breaths and is taught with many modifications and variations to create the best practice for you. It can be practiced at any age and is beneficial for all physical backgrounds. It is an excellent exercise to help fight stress, maintain better posture and create healthy habits for a more balanced body.

Some health benefits to yoga include, but are not limited to:

  • better functioning immune system
  • improved digestion
  • increased muscular composition and bone density
  • improved mobility of joints and ligaments

About Our Instructor
Amy has been practicing yoga for 7 years, instructing for 5 years, having obtained her 200 hour YTT in 2013. She has also received a BA in Secondary Education Biology from Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania in 2012. Amy believes that yoga is an excellent way to restore balance to one’s body by encouraging you to find more ease in motion and strength with your breath. She would describe her teaching style as light-hearted and fun, finding rest and peace throughout her class.

Workshops

“Yeah Yoga!”
Come join us on Saturday January 12th, 2019 for a one hour Yoga Workshop with our instructor Amy!  The goal of this workshop is to teach a few yoga techniques, including rest, strength building postures, and stretches. It’s a great way to get to know Amy and her teaching style.

Available Classes:

On Sat Jan 26th Amy will begin offering a 6 week Yoga session between
10:00-11:00am.

These 1 hour pre-structured classes are suitable for all levels of
students (beginner to advanced) and are designed to be an over-all
balanced class including rest, strength building postures and
sequences, as well as stretching. Modifications and variations for
postures are offered as needed in each class to meet individual needs. They
are taught hatha-style, incorporating several breaths per pose.

Maximum 8 people in a class.
