Nadia Colantonio PT, BSc. PT.

Making a difference in peoples recovery and function is the most rewarding and gratifying part of my job! My goal is to treat every patient like they are a member of my own family.

I am an advanced manual Physiotherapist and have been practising for over 25 years since I graduated from McGill University in 1991. I have worked in both multidisciplinary environments (hospital and rehabilitation centres) as well as in private practice. Currently I specialize in safe and effective hands-on manual therapy techniques which are gentle and successful in treating headaches, neck, back and pelvic pain. These techniques are also effective in treating orthopaedic conditions, sports injuries and post-operative conditions. I provide treatment for both simple cases as well as more complex hard to treat cases in people of all ages and abilities.

I am a Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapist, and have practiced this form of therapy for over 12 years. People with vestibular disorders can experience problems with vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbances and/or imbalance. Vestibular Rehabilitation is a proven therapy effective in improving symptoms related to many vestibular (inner ear/balance centre) disorders, such as BPPV, vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis.

The ongoing, self motivated, pursuit of professional knowledge is very important to me which is why I have taken and continue to take extensive post graduate courses.  Some of these courses include:

  • Myofascial Release,
  • Muscle Energy Technique (MET),
  • Cranial Therapy,
  • Strain Counter Strain,
  • Visceral Manipulation,
  • Neural Manipulation,
  • Visceral Vascular Manipulation,
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation,
  • Mulligan Technique,
  • McKenzie (Lumbar spine).
