Dr. Carol Laic ND, MEd.
Carol is committed to professional patient-centered care by using an individualized approach to healthcare, rebuilding the foundations of health.
I am a registered Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in clinical practice, working with families since graduating in 1998. Soon to be celebrating 20 years in practice, I strive to create unique and individualized personal treatment plan with my patients, that consists of a therapeutic focus on identifying any obstacles to their health and healing (using examination and laboratory assessments), and tailoring treatments to return the body back to its inherent balance. I use the many modalities of Naturopathic Medicine including botanical remedies, clinical nutrition (dietary recommendations and supplementation), complex homeopathy, lifestyle counselling and acupuncture to help patients achieve their health goals.
In my desire to continuously grow and share newly discovered knowledge, I was lead to completing my Master of Education – Adult teaching and learning at the University of Toronto and I have been teaching at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto since graduation. I currently lead the Pharmacology stream, identifying the role of science based natural treatments and their impact on conventional medical drug treatments.
Working together with all ages (prenatal to geriatric) as a healthcare team, I strive to identify and target the underlying causes of body imbalances and facilitate the body’s inherent ability to restore and maintain optimum health with evidence-informed therapies given tous in nature.
Naturopathic Medicine is a nature-based system of primary care that addresses the root cause of illness or disease and promotes health and healing.
